Latest Trailer for "Man of Steel"

Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel

Check out the latest action packed trailer for "Man of Steel".

Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen). Produced by Chris Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy). Starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Russell Crowe.

I was not that impressed with the first full length trailer that came out last month. Since then, the TV spots have been getting better and I have reconsidered my thoughts. This trailer is just amazing and I am pumped up for this movie.

The cast looks terrific. I was initially skeptical about Henry Cavill's casting as the iconic superhero. I have to confess that he looks good in the part. We will find out shortly if he matches or exceeds the late Christopher Reeve's classic performance as Supes.

Hans Zimmer provides the music and his work alone makes it worth one's time to watch a movie. His soundtracks for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes movies and The Dark Knight trilogy are couple of my all time favorites.

Rest of the cast looks good. I especially look forward to Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon as Jor-El and General Zod respectively.

Man of Steel looks to be action packed and has an epic scope, as any Superman movie should be.

For instant updates,

  1. I am still skeptical about Man of Steel, even though I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. If the movie receives positive review I will probably watch this in theaters.

  2. If Amy Adams is in it, I will love it.
She was great in Leap Year.

    1. Thanks John for stopping by.

Amy was great in The Fighter and in Catch Me If You Can. She should make a great Lois Lane.

  3. After the first 2 summer blockbusters let me down, I'm looking forward to this one so much more.

    1. Well said, Daniel.

Iron Man 3 was a good movie and Star Trek Into Darkness disappointed big time.

Hopefully, Man of Steel will deliver the goods, both critically and commercially.

    2. Why do I have no interest in this film? Out of all the movies coming out this summer, this is the one I don't care about, at all. I loved Star Trek Into Darkness and thought Iron Man 3 was so-so, but Superman, not really interested.

I'll keep an eye posted on your blog to see what you think of it once it hits theaters. :)

    3. Thanks Carissa.

I too shared your apathy sometime back. This latest trailer (and the recent TV spots) have changed my thoughts.

Of course, it helps that I have always been a Superman fan as long as I can remember :)

I am guessing that you are not much into comic book characters (based on your reaction to Iron Man 3 also).

Interestingly, I am also not that much into Star Trek mythology, which probably explains my disappointment with Star Trek Into Darkness.

I welcome you to check out my movie review of Man of Steel.
