After a strong episode, this is an OK episode. Not bad, but not one of the best either.1. The writing of the word “THIEF” on the wall - In A Study in Scarlet, the killer leaves the word “RACHE” written in blood on the wall.

Lee Miller gets some laughs with his quip about Randy's name. The discussions between Elementary Holmes and Joan about disclosing their findings about Maddox to NYPD in the light of Joan's agreement with Chloe was good.

Love your connections one and two. Great catch.
ReplyDeleteI must have missed the police security camera thing. I though a skate boarder caught the killer on his phone while videoing his friends. Now I have to go back and watch it again. (Well at least that part.)
We both ranked it about the same. It was OK, but after last weeks, not great.
Thanks for the, once again, excellent review.
You are welcome, John.
DeleteGlad that we are on the same page.
You are probably right about the skateboarder capturing Nelson Maddox on his video.
I will check and update the review, if necessary.

Whoever wrote the word "thief" on the wall did so with a very steady hand, which I find curious. I haven't watched the episode. Also, I was hoping the show would be finished with Jamie Moriarty. I'm not looking forward to her return. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for a great recap.
You are welcome, Kathleen.
DeleteRegarding the steady hand that wrote "thief" - I guess that is the difference between the genius of a writer like ACD versus his imitators.
I am also not looking forward to Jamie's return. The whole Sherlock-Irene Adler/Jamie Moriarty shenanigans is the least appealing/most unSherlockian aspect of this show.

I actually caught the last chuck of this episode. I must admit, I was kinda surprised that they were actually having an arc for a secondary character. Huh. They're learning…
ReplyDeleteYes, the show writers seem to be doing their homework better this season (despite a couple of boring episodes).

does anyone know where the stone sculpture that is at the top of this page is located, is it real? or who designed it? does it have a name?
ReplyDeleteI am not sure but will let you know, if I get that information.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
