We get our first look at the Sentinels in this viral commercial for X-Men: Days of Future Past, upcoming superhero movie from Bryan Singer.
Bryan Singer returns to the comic book franchise, he started way back in 2000. The movie has a large ensemble cast (even by the usual Bryan Singer's X-Men movie standards). The cast of the original X-Men movie series (Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore) comes together with the cast of X-Men: First Class (Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult) to make this movie the must watch movie event of Summer 2014.

Really looking forward to this, viral marketing is really getting me excited!

Singer has built my anticipation levels to this movie to near explosion levels with all his sneak-peak tweets on Twitter. Then, at Comic-Con, they had a small booth in the Gas Lamp District outside the convention center with Trask posters and a replica Sentinel head. It was too much awesome! And then I ran into Ashmore and got a picture with him at the booth. It all makes me insane with excitement for the film!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron for the info.
DeleteI have enjoyed most of Singer's movies. This one looks to be spectacular as well.

As someone who is not well-aware of comic book mythology, I feel a bit distant from such promotions. Every time we have a scene post-credits I almost always have to have it explained. Still, X-Men: Days of Future Past does appear to be building. Hopefully it won't be a letdown.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rick.
DeleteI don't think X-Men: Days of Future Past will disappoint, based on Bryan Singer's track record and the cast involved.
Let's hope it does not turn out to be another Man of Steel ....

I am beyond excited after this viral trailer! Thanks for posting it. Days of Future Past is one of my favorite comic book storylines and I have to say that everything looks promising, my only concerns is that the movie will be over stuffed with enormous cast.

You are welcome, James.
DeleteI agree about the large cast. Bryan Singer has a lot of experience making such ensemble movies and I believe he will deliver the goods.
